CT, or computed tomography, is a valuable diagnostic medical exam that combines X-rays and computers. A CT scan gives the radiologist a non-invasive way to see inside a patient’s body.

The new technology will provide faster scans with less radiation exposure to patients. The scanner will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the hospital.

“We are very excited to offer this service to the community,” said Sutter Davis Hospital CEO Jennifer Maher. “Our patients are the ultimate beneficiaries of this service, but our physicians and staff will benefit as well from this advanced technology.”

Some additional benefits of the new machine include quicker results, improved imaging quality and reduced wait times.
