More than 250 people attended the annual Faith & Fantasy ball celebrating this year’s theme, ‘Around the World.’

The event was hosted by Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation board members Tim and Colleen Sands. The Sands are longtime supporters of the hospital and they share a passion for helping others and giving back to the community.

“We are so thankful for the very generous donations from members of our community that will help impact the health of our region,” said Susan Willson, senior development officer at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. “It was a fun and engaging event celebrating cultures throughout the world.”

The evening included a cocktail reception, formal portraits, a silent and live auction, dinner and entertainment. Frances Canet, M.D., cardiologist, also gave a special presentation on the hospital’s initiative to launch a new cardiac rehabilitation program.  The new program will provide individually monitored exercise and dietary programs for patients with heart issues.

“A cardiac rehabilitation program is important for the hospital because it allows patients with heart issues to receive individually monitored care without leaving the community,” said Mitch Hanna, CEO of Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. “We thank the community for generously supporting the hospital and this event.”

Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation raises funds for a wide variety of initiatives that build and sustain healthy communities, enhance patient care, and help meet the growing needs of our communities. Last year, the ball raised more than $90,000 for the hospital’s cancer program and services. For more information about the services at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, visit
