Sutter Davis Hospital Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

Davis, Calif. – Sutter Davis Hospital Foundation has announced the addition of four new community members to its philanthropic Board of Trustees.

“Our new board members are active members of the community,” said Adam Holland, Senior Development Officer, Sutter Davis Hospital Foundation. “Each of them are passionate about addressing the local needs for residents living in Yolo County. We are thrilled to welcome them to the board as we know that Sutter Davis Hospital will continue to have a great presence in the community because of their efforts.”

The 13-member board brings a wealth of knowledge and community service experience to the foundation and contribute to their communities in a variety of ways. The new board members join the existing board – Davis Campbell, Virginia Joyce, M.D., Richard P. Luna, Jennifer Maher, Natasha Mata, Brett Moore, Kiren Rizvi, Lea Rosenberg, Kurt Shuler, M.D.

Ron Brown, President and CEO, Brown Construction

After gaining experience in multiple construction jobs after college, Ron returned to the family business in 1988 to help the company diversify their mix of projects and clientele. He brought with him an extensive background in the building of large, multi-phased projects requiring detailed management organization. His breadth of experience over the past two decades includes successful commercial, multi-family, institutional and retail projects which provide a solid leadership foundation for the company. He maintains an active role with all projects at the company and he is very active in the community.

Camille Chan

Camille was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been a Davis resident since 1972. She worked for 20 years in information technology at companies such as Southern Pacific, Lexisoft and California Dental Company. Following her IT career she earned her SPHR (senior professional in human resources) certification and worked for 10 years at Tandem Properties, a property management company in Davis. Camille retired in 2013. She is an active participant in numerous community organizations. She has two adult sons and enjoys gardening, reading and traveling.

Dan DeSantis

Dan is joining the board after retiring from his role as the executive director of the Yolo Community Foundation. Dan worked as a hospital administrator for 20 years, the last 12 as the CEO of Sierra Kings District Hospital in Reedley. Following his health care career, Dan was the Alternative Dispute Resolution Administrator with the Fresno Superior Court for five years. He then served as the CEO of the Fresno Regional Foundation for nine years.

Scott Maxwell, Vice President, Unger Construction Co.

Scott has more than 38 years experience in the construction industry. As the vice president of Unger Construction Company, he has fostered and developed many long-term business relationships. He leads the company-wide client development and service efforts as well as coordinating all marketing activities. Scott also remains actively involved with numerous philanthropic and community service organizations.
