SACRAMENTO – With mental health advocate and Sacramento Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg calling it “a great day” for Sacramento, Sutter Center for Psychiatry unveiled its new, larger Outpatient Center this week and announced plans to expand its behavioral health services to include an after-work program for adults and an after-school program for adolescents.
The new Sutter Center for Psychiatry Outpatient Center located at 7919 Folsom Blvd. contains 10,000 square feet – nearly twice as much space as the former outpatient center – and has been designed to aid in the wellness process. Soothing, full-wall nature scenes welcome visitors and patients, and each group room was personally designed by the therapists in order to maximize their therapy style and sessions.
“The expanded program capacity comes with new and beautiful space that is designed with the healing environment in mind,” said Sutter Center for Psychiatry CEO John Boyd. “The Outpatient Center’s programs use evidence-based treatment and support that are key components of our overall continuum-of-care services available within Sutter Health.” Read More about Mayor-elect Steinberg Praises Sutter Expansion of Mental Health Services
