Sutter Davis Hospital Recognized as Healthiest Workplace by Modern Healthcare
DAVIS – Sutter Davis Hospital received Modern Healthcare’s inaugural Healthiest Workplace award when the organization held its Best Places to Work gala on Friday, Oct. 7.
Sutter Davis won the award in the Providers/Insurers category and was recognized for promoting wellness within its workforce through access to fitness programs and facilities, the structure of the organization’s benefits plan and a culture that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
Sutter Davis has a six-year partnership with the Davis Farmers Market, which sets up shop in front of the hospital once a week from May-October. Employees also have access to a nearby walking path which features exercise stations. There is also a meditation garden at the hospital.
Sutter’s benefits package and discounts align with keeping its workforce healthy, which also played a factor in Sutter Davis earning the recognition.
“We are extremely proud to be named the first recipient of Modern Healthcare’s Healthiest Workplace award,” said Jennifer Maher, CEO, Sutter Davis Hospital. “We work hard to ensure that our staff have a great work-life balance. If you take care of your employees, it’s going to carry over to the patient experience. If our employees are happy and healthy, our patients are going to have a great experience at Sutter Davis Hospital.”
