SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sutter Center for Integrative Holistic Health is offering a six-week group medical appointment for cancer patients and their loved ones in Sacramento each Tuesday from March 18 – April 22 from 4:30 – 7 p.m.
The special session will feature topics such as healthy nutrition for cancer recovery, appropriate supplements, mind-body interventions and spiritual approaches to assist with healing. This series will also feature a healthy cooking demonstration.
The group medical appointments will take place at the Sutter Oncology Office, 2800 L St., Suite 300. Please call 916-454-7080 to register. The cost is $20 for materials, plus the patient’s office visit co-pay for each visit. Most insurances are accepted and non-Sutter Health patients with insurance are welcome. HMO patients will need a referral from their primary care physician.

ANNISTON, Al. – Emergency responders, public health specialists and healthcare professionals from across Northern California, including Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento and Sutter Roseville Medical Center, are better prepared to respond to major natural or manmade disasters following an intensive, week-long training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP), Feb. 8-14.

More than $300,000 raised to enhance local surgery services
JACKSON, Calif. – Thanks to generous community support, the Sutter Amador Hospital Foundation raised more than $168,000 toward the 2013 Matching Grant exceeding their goal of $150,000. Community members’ investments were doubled thanks to Sutter Health’s matching grant program – bringing the grand total to $318,000.
