AUBURN, Calif. – Even with a history of cervical cancer and heart problems, 92-year-old Enes Cereni of South San Francisco says she enjoys time with her husband of 63 years and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren thanks to Sutter Health’s Advanced Illness Management (AIM)® program, which launched in Solano, Sonoma and San Mateo counties recently, as well as in the East Bay Region and in San Francisco.

Beginning June 5, patients in the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital service area with late-stage chronic illness can access the same resources and support available to Mrs. Cereni through AIM’s next major expansion in Northern California. AUBURN, Calif. — The Auburn Sierra Medical Office Building will house many new outpatient services this summer for Sutter Medical Foundation, including lab and urgent care. But upon a closer look, you will see a certain artistic flair on the building’s walls – photography of those who work for Sutter Medical Foundation offices/departments in Auburn or those who live within the city.

Sutter Medical Foundation Regional Administrative Director Joyce Swan said the inspiration for the project took hold a couple of years ago when she and others saw the work photographer Amy Schuff had done for the Sutter Medical Foundation OB-GYN office in Auburn. Knowing that they wanted to do something different, Joyce and other SMF team members, along with Schuff and Sutter’s art consultant, Kira Stewart, brainstormed options. They decided not go with the standard prints and instead celebrate the community of Auburn through custom photography. Read More

Sutter Roseville Trauma Neuro Unit Recognized with Beacon Award

The American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) recently conferred a gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence on the Trauma Neuro Unit at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.  The gold-level designation is the highest award; other designations include the bronze and the silver level.  The Trauma Neuro Unit at Sutter Roseville is one of seven critical care units in California to be honored with the prestigious gold-level Beacon Award.
